After checking out from our hotel in Modesto, California (and after David spent his last day of teaching), we headed off right away to San Francisco to spend a night there. Why? David needed to visit the Philippine Consulate General to process getting his visa to stay legally in the Philippines.
We arrived in front of the hotel around 4pm, and a valet parking person asked us if we booked our room there. After saying yes to him, he asked for our car key to take care of our car and park it in their valet parking area. And he’s a Filipino, so it felt like home.
This hotel is very beautiful and classy. With its Gothic-style inspiration, Kensington Park Hotel will make you feel like you are in the era of sophistication.
After taking our luggages from the car, the front desk staff were waiting for us to check us in. The lobby area where you will see the hand-painted ceiling and dark-wood accents, was so elegant and very welcoming. Stunning pop-culture arts next to their wide furnitures were also one of the highlights in this hotel. They even have an assigned bellman who would not only assist you with your luggages, but he would also help you in spending your time checking out the busy place of Union Square, or the whole San Francisco area.
On our way to our room was feeling like royalty. It started from this elevator with a long sofa chair that wowed us after the door opened. Then the hallway with carpet, was just very nice in your eyes.
And our room for that night, was just very relaxing to look and to feel. From side tables to the frames on the wall, “perfect” as what David said. A marble table with glass on top of it and a desk light were useful for David to do his evening class. Our wide bathroom, which we could only see gold and white inside, it was simply stunning. And of course, our king bed that was so comfortable to sleep on, after that long day. We were really re-energized that night to do our purpose in Union Square the next day.
Definitely, a great place to stay if you’re planning to enjoy the city life in Union Square, San Francisco.
